What is a VOODOO credit?

A VOODOO credit, put simply, is 1 SMS message (up to 160 characters long). However, an SMS that surpasses 160 characters will cost more credits. I.e. The longer the message, the more credits you will use for 1 SMS. The maximum amount of credits that can be used per SMS is 14 (up to 2142 characters long). Please note that if you send a message which contains a Unicode character it will reduce the character count from 160 characters to 70 characters per credit. Our credits are a ‘pay-as-you-go

What discounts can I get as a charity?

For charities, VOODOO SMS are proud to offer a discounted rate of 2p (£0.02p) per credit. To activate this price on your account we require your registered charity number. For more information about this, please contact a member of our VOODOO team on 01484 599311.

How is VAT applied?

How much does VOODOO cost?

At VOODOO SMS, we pride ourselves on offering the most competitive pricing in the UK. It is completely free to create and subscribe to an account, and we provide you with 25 free credits when you sign up- so you can try before you buy! Can I set a low balance credit alert?

With VOODOO SMS, you can set a low balance alert to prevent using all your purchased credits prior to sending messages, and to remind you to top-up your credit amount. To do so: 1. Click ‘My Account’ on the left side of your dashboard. 2. Click ‘Transactions’ at the top of the page. 1. Click the ‘Balance Alert’ button. By clicking this, you can then choose the ways you are alerted and amend how many credits you have remaining for an alert to be sent. This will not change until yo

Where can I view my transaction history?

To see all your previous transactions, you need to click ‘My Account’ on the left side of your dashboard. You then have the option to select transactions at the top of the page. Here you will see your credit and SMS history. If you would like to search for an invoice (for example), you can use the filter options shown above your transactions. Make sure you press the filter button to show your required fields.
