Dynamic Messages

Dynamic Messages

One of the great features of the WebSMS is the ability to create personalised messages. This simply means you can include additional information that you have uploaded to the portal into a WebSMS via a mail merge.

If you upload a contact list with your recipient's first names you can insert that field into your message and it will change from {EXAMPLE} to the first name associated with that number. When creating a Dynamic Message you will need to change the tab on the message:

As you can see in this example we have two available dynamic fields both of which have been inserted into the message.

You will be prompted to insert text into the Static box as well. The reason for this is that if there is one person on the contact list without a dynamic field attached, they will receive the static message instead.

When we click next to see the overview of the message you will be able to see the fields have changed:

As you can see there is a static message, but 0 contacts will receive this message and all 16 numbers will receive the dynamic message. It has changed the dynamic message to show the users name and their unique code.

Once happy, simply click Send Web SMS and the message will be sent out.
