What is a Voodoo credit?

A VOODOO credit, put simply, is 1 SMS message (up to 160 characters long). However, an SMS that surpasses 160 characters will cost more credits. i.e. The longer the message, the more credits you will use for 1 SMS.

When you exceed 160 characters then the message length of each SMS is multiples of 153 characters. e.g. 2 SMS (or 2 SMS credits) equals 306 characters.

7. Credits = 1,071 characters
8. Credits = 1,224 characters

12. Credits = 1,836 characters
13. Credits = 1,989 characters
14. Credits = 2,142 characters

The maximum amount of credits that can be used per SMS is 14 (up to 2142 characters long).  

Please note that if you send a message which contains a Unicode character, it will reduce the character count from 160 characters to 70 characters per credit. When you exceed 70 characters when using Unicode then the message length of each SMS are in multiples of 67 characters. e.g. 2 SMS (or 2 SMS credits) equals 134 characters.
